A Christmas Festival (11th December 2014)

On Thursday 11th December our older pupils showcased their musical gifts and talents by performing a concert for Parents and Carers.

This included performances by our violin and guitar groups, a piano recital from Stanley and a enchanting rendition of ‘Can You See What I See?’ by our Senior Choir.

Falcon class delighted the audience with ‘Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer’ decked out in antlers and flashing noses.

Chaffinch class, aided by Mrs Collins (a secret script writer), delighted the audience with a Bethlehem themed ‘Call The Midwife’ episode, complete with the ever doubting Steve the donkey, a shepherd, a tradesman, two kings and Amber staring as the midwife.

Red Kite class wowed the audience with their musical skills, by playing ‘We Three Kings’, including hand bells, and a violin and recorder solo, whilst wearing beautifully decorated crowns.

Eagle class performed ‘Jingle Bells’ using hand bells and entertained us all with festive joke – perhaps they have a bright future writing cracker jokes!

Osprey class performed an energetic dance to ‘Santa Claus is Coming in a Boogie-Woogie Choo Choo Train’ dressed in black and trimmed with gold tinsel.

I’m sure that all present would join me in thanking all of the pupils and staff involved.  Special thanks to Mrs Beswick, Mr Willis and Mrs Nicholls.
